- From Heathrow Terminals 1, 2 or 3
- Follow the signs for the M4 motorway
- Turn left onto the M4 towards Slough (westbound)
- After about 2 miles Exit the M4 at Junction 4b onto the M25 towards Watford (Northbound)
- From Heathrow Terminals 4 or 5
- Follow the signs for the M25 motorway
- Join the M25 towards Watford (Northbound)
- After 5-9 miles (depending on which terminal you started at) exit the M25 at Junction 16 onto the M40 towards Oxford (Westbound)
- Continue on the M40 for about 30 miles then exit at Junction 8 onto the
A40 towards Oxford
- Follow the A40 around Oxford towards Cheltenham.
If you want to visit Oxford en-route we recommend that you use one of the
Park & Ride schemes
which are signposted off the A40 as you go around Oxford. There are carparks
near the main road where you can leave your car and a regular bus service
into the middle of Oxford. When you have finished in Oxford you can catch
the bus back to your car and continue with your journey.
- Continue on the A40 towards Cheltenham for about 2 miles.
- You will come to a roundabout where you may continue on the A40 towards Cheltenham or take the A44 towards Woodstock, take the A44.
- Follow the A44 for about 5 miles and you will find Blenheim Palace on your left, just before you enter the town of Woodstock. There is ample carparking within the grounds of the palace.
- After your visit to Blenheim Palace turn left back onto the A44 and continue on through Woodstock (quite a pretty little town) towards Chipping Norton and Evesham.
- After about 11 miles you pass through Chipping Norton.
- About 3 miles after Chipping Norton turn left onto the A436 towards Stow-on-the-Wold.
- Another 6 miles will bring you into Stow-on-the-Wold, carry straight on until you reach a set of traffic lights.
- At the traffic lights turn left onto the A429 Fosse Way towards Bourton-on-the-Water
- You will start to drop down the hill out of Stow
- You will see our white B&B sign on the right (with lights over it) just before the road starts to curve left
- Turn right into our driveway
If you get to the traffic lights at the bottom of the hill then you have
gone too far.
